TOPIK Learning App Developer (hereinafter referred to as "the Developer") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided on this website.

  6. User interaction data with the Service (e.g., app launch counts, video play counts): May be used to improve advertising performance.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Developer collects and uses personal information are as follows:

  1. To provide and operate the Developer's services
  2. To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)
  3. To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other services provided by the Developer
  4. To provide necessary notifications such as maintenance and important announcements
  5. To identify users who violate the Terms of Service or attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use
  6. To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registration information, and check their usage status
  7. To bill users for paid services
  8. For purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)

  1. The Developer may change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably deemed to have relevance to the purpose before the change.
  2. If the purpose of use is changed, the Developer will notify users or make the new purpose public on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. The Developer will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent from the user, except in cases permitted by law such as:
    1. When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult
    2. When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and obtaining consent is difficult
    3. When it is necessary to cooperate with national or local government agencies, or those entrusted by them, to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent could hinder such duties
    4. When the following have been announced or made public in advance, and reported to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
      1. Inclusion of third-party provision in the purpose of use

      5. Methods for accepting such requests
  2. Notwithstanding the above, the following are not considered third parties:
    1. When the Developer entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
    2. When personal information is provided due to business succession through a merger or other reason
    3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, with prior notice or easy availability of information about the items jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use, and the name of the responsible party

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. Upon request from the individual, the Developer will disclose personal information without delay, except where:
    1. There is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
    2. Disclosure would significantly hinder the proper execution of the Developer’s business
    3. It would violate laws or regulations
    A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged.
  2. Information other than personal information, such as historical or characteristic data, will not be disclosed in principle.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. If a user's personal information held by the Developer is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion ("Correction, etc.") through the Developer's specified procedures.
  2. If deemed necessary, the Developer will promptly make the Correction, etc.
  3. The Developer will notify the user without delay if a Correction, etc. is made or if a decision is made not to do so.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

  1. If the individual requests suspension or deletion of personal information ("Suspension, etc.") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the stated purpose, or was obtained by fraudulent means, the Developer will promptly conduct the necessary investigation.
  2. If deemed necessary, the Developer will promptly carry out the Suspension, etc.
  3. The Developer will notify the user without delay if a Suspension, etc. is carried out or if a decision is made not to do so.
  4. Notwithstanding the above, if the Suspension, etc. would require excessive cost or is otherwise difficult to implement, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the user’s rights and interests, such alternative measures will be taken.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

  1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to the user, except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy.
  2. Unless otherwise specified by the Developer, the revised Policy will take effect when posted on this website.
